*************************************************************************************** The Railway Between Qinghai And Tibet
Qinghai–Tibet Railway construction was completed in June 2001, with a total length of 1956 km from Xining, the capital of Qinghai, to Lhasa. It is the highest altitude in the world. The main advantage of train travel is that travelers can slowly adapt to high altitude conditions, instead of a sudden shift if you were to take a plane. In addition, it is a scenic trip with breath-taking natural scenery. If travelers would like to experience both flight and train, China Highlights suggests that taking flight to Tibet and taking the train out of Tibet is a better plan, because train tickets to Tibet are difficult to get, especially in peak season from May to October. http://www.chinahighlights.com/video/the-railway-between-qinghai-and-tibet.htm
