http://www.chinahighlights.com/video/how-to-make-ice-skin-moon-cakes.htm
The video shows steps of how to make ice skin moon cakes and also share a popular Chinese says on the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Recipe in detail:
1).Mix glutinous rice flour, rice flour and protein-free wheat starch, water, sugar and vegetable oil together until ingredients form paste. (You can add food essence and/or food coloring while mixing the ingredients. Here we use cocoa powder.)
2) Set aside the paste for 5 minutes, and then steam the paste with high temperature for about 15-20 minutes.
3) Mix round the paste until it becomes smooth, then cool it. Ice-skin is served.
4). Divide filling into 15g each and roll it into a ball.
5). Divide dough into 30g each. (Need some flour to dust hands)
6). Flattened the paste ball and place the filling ball in the middle, close the flattened paste ball.
7) Use some flour for dusting your moon cake mold. Put it into the mold and press it out.
8). Serve moon cakes chilled.
